Friends,
This past Saturday, I had a blast at a Girl Scout Badge Day. The event was facilitated by the Society of Women Engineers. We helped the 60+ girls get their "Making it Matter" badge. I helped at the Civil Engineering Station and instructed the girls to build a structure out of newspaper and tape. My oh my was I amazed at their creativity and logic. Not only did I have a great time, but I stoked my passion for science education for girls and women. It made me thankful for the opportunities I have had for easy access to education.
