Friends, Another week in April has come and gone. Tulip are in full bloom around my neighborhood, and the trees are all turning green.

This weekend had a few tender bitter sweet moments with my friends Sarah and Jerry. They will be relocating to Georgia next week. I met the couple at church last year and have enjoyed their company...thoughtful, caring, and always life of any party! This week's photo was taken after church on Sunday. Cheers to the opportunities ahead. Hurry back for a visit...we miss you already!

What beautiful reminders of friendship I have encountered throughout the weekend! ... From a good-bye dinner, to a reunion barbecue, to a run with Saturday morning running buddies, to a mystery dinner event. It has been an especially sweet few days. As always, I was excited for the chance to dress up in costume for a Murder Mystery dinner. All participants were cast as fictional children characters. Check this week's photo to see TinkerBell, Peter Pan, Scarecrow, Aladdin, the Gennie, and a red headed Alice in Wonderland. These are all dear friends of mine from church.

This weekend was the first of multiple weddings ahead in 2008. Jessica Duval wed Andrew Robertson on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Herscher, IL - pop. 1500. I work with both the bride and groom in Peoria, a lovely couple that know how to throw a fantastic reception. The festivities were held at the Kankakee County Fair Grounds complete with country music, pork chops and even a few family quilts used for decoration. I loved every detail. It was a perfectly charming and fun evening....Jessica's Cat friends swept her off her feet! Congrats to the Bride and Groom.

And yes...it did snow in Peoria today!

It was a glorious weekend to be enjoyed outside. Perfect for long runs in training for the upcoming Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis this May.

On Saturday I had the chance to enjoy the company of my friends Nicki and Jennifer while stretching our creativity at Fired Up! in Peoria Heights (a paint your own pottery shop.) My date, Nicki's 3 month son, was asleep when we snapped the picture of Nicki and I.
