A tale of 15 yr old cats and a growing 15 yr old boy! 15 yr old cats This week I had mini-reunion of sorts with some amazing ladies. I have been friends with these gals since starting my job at Caterpillar nearly 15 years ago. We have come a long way and have an exciting journey ahead of us as we share work and life together.

This week's photos show me among an amazing group of people. I participated in a week long retreat under the direction of author Dr. Larry Crabb. Larry and his team taught and ministered to 41 folks from Richwoods Christian Church. The week offered beautiful teaching and a life changing opportunity. I was humbled to be a part of it. During much of the week, we were divided into triads. I laughed and cried with Dave and Dan, pictured in the photo with me. They have become dear friends in the past week.

We went in with game faces on and a strategy in place...And it failed! Well, it didn't fail, but it didn't go as planned!

Jeff and I were excited to go to the Peoria Christian School auction on Saturday. Every year we find some great treasures and contribute to a good cause. Most importantly we spend some time with friends. This year we were a bit aggressive with our bidding and came home with more items from the silent auction than we anticipated. However, I'm excited for all of the restaurant gift cards we acquired. At the end of the night we laughed a bit at our winnings. We gathered food gift cards and 5 free haircuts for Jeff. I chuckled in surprise at the gift card to the steak house. Clearly, it was Jeff that bid on that one!

Photo of the Week - Easter, 2012

Jeff and I headed east for a long holiday weekend in Bluffton. Jill, Jeff and I offered to help with spreading mulch around the flower beds at the house on Summit Ave. Mom and Dad hesitated to take up on the offer, but we reminded them to make hay while the sun's shining. Jeff was a good foreman on the job and kept Jill and me in line.














We headed back home via Crawfordsville where we caught up with Jordan.

A tale of a Friday afternoon: After work, I came home and could only focus on the dirty dishes in the sink. Jeff, however, came home and noticed the great lighting on the Japanese Maple and tulips and couldn't let the moment pass without a picture. While outside, he cut a flower and brought it in for me. It took not even a minute for me to put away the dishes, yet the kitchen has smelled like spring all weekend. Sigh. So glad he is my husband. So glad he adds a different perspective to my life.
