My Great-Uncle Fred Wenger passed away this week. Neat man! Worked hard, always found a reason to grin, and loved family. Seems appropriate to honor him by sharing a sweet picture of a family reunion I had while at his viewing this weekend. This picture is just a sampling of the special people I have hugged over the last days. Despite the sorrow of my uncle passing, I am overjoyed by the experiences this weekend.

When I was flying home from Seattle on Friday, I fell asleep on the plane before takeoff. About an hour later, I woke up feeling rested and ready for the day of travel. As I opened my eyes, I saw this beautiful sight outside of my window. Breath taking for anyone. . . especially a midwest girl.

This week's picture is a copy of the invitation that Jeff and I placed on every door in our neighborhood. Jeff had a vision of hosting a neighborhood party to 1) get to know our neighbors and 2) create awareness for a cause he supports. We had a good time walking the streets and handing out fliers. The turnout wasn't so great, but we didn't care. . . the experience was well worth it. I love the adventures I get to experience with that great husband of mine!
