Photo of the Week - November 18, 2012

Every year at this time, I post my photos from the Annual Thanksgiving Meal that our church hosts. I hate to be so predictable. But, each year, I'm surprised by the joy that overwhelms my heart during the event. I'm still deeply touched by the event. This year, our church feed 450 people. We had the food for 350 and somehow we made it stretch just far enough for everyone in line. Photo of the Week - November 11, 2012

This was a week full of many photo worthy moments. . . holding my newest great niece, toasting a friend's birthday at midnight (rare that I see the midnight hour, so truly a celebration!) and spending time on a photo shoot with my niece Laura. But my 'photo of the week' is a picture of my friends from the Society of Women Engineers Conference in Houston. I have gone to this event for seven consecutive years. Each year I leave encouraged as a professional woman. And, I'm strengthened by the bright women in my life. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the women who have gone before me.

Footloose & fancy free was the motto for my Saturday. Jeff and I headed over to Running Central, where Ethan works as a shoe salesman. Of course we got great customer service. On Sunday morning we popped out of bed to put on our new shoes and head for the streets. We are exercising in style!!
