My Spring Fever caught a chill this morning as I woke up to a neighborhood covered in snow. I did have one tulip trying stick out and hold onto the promise of Spring. The weather passed quickly, and it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day.

Despite the chilly weather, it was a very fun weekend. This week's photo shows my friend Jason receiving a Birthday Greeting from our friend Michael. Jason's wife Jennifer planned a surprise party, and we all had a great time.

It has been a restful yet exciting weekend. I attended a leader's meeting at my church on Saturday. Beyond spending the day with friends, I enjoyed the inspiration that was provided. I have been very blessed by the people I have met through my church....my roommates being some of those people. This weekend my roommate, Crystal, and I ventured out to find her a pair of running shoes. Look at the joy on her face as she becomes the proud owner of a pair of New Balance!

Spring has sprung. Enjoy the season!

Three cheers for the gorgeous sunshine falling on Peoria, IL this weekend! Spring Fever continues to inflict me. I found myself snapping pictures of the tulips outside as they start to pop up. This is the my third spring in my house, and I am still have a youthful amazement by the appearance of the spring flowers.

I had the chance to entertain twice this weekend with Bible study / dinner on Friday night, and a baby shower on Saturday. 17 showed up on Friday night. It was an awesome experience with old and new friends.

My friends, Dave and Saman, are expecting their first son on tax day. We had a couple's shower with their family and friends. You can see uncertainty written all over Dave's face as he and Saman opened the baby carrier. And from the picture, you can see that I didn't have much success putting it together.

This week allowed for two road trips in warm weather hinting of spring. I traveled to Purdue with co-workers / friends to present in a sales & marketing class. Check out our photo at lunch in our corporate casual Caterpillar gear on campus. Thanks for the fun, Jessica and Amy.

On Thursday, Jeff surprised me with free tickets to a Third Day concert. Within no time at all, we were off to Champaign to take advantage of the good fortune and a great show. The band came into the stands to perform a short set...and we had front row seats. Ok, Ok, Ok, I must admit, I got caught up in the moment and reached out to touch the lead singer like a crazed groupie.

Spontaneous events are not my style, yet I managed to have a blast at the last minute outing. May we all step out of our comfort zones now and again!

Three cheers for daylight savings and spring on the way.

Wow, what a week! New challenges, new friends, new experiences. I'm left wondering if it all truly occurred within 7 days. This Friday, our team at work split into three teams to volunteer our time and energy for community service. I had fun with a crew of folks while painting murals for The Children's Home in Peoria. I snapped some great shots of the team in action. I loved this week's photo capturing the theme of the event: teamwork. In fact, it may have been the theme of my entire week. These two fellows, Brian and Brian, were quite pleased with their yellow to red fade on the wall. I must say, I was impressed by the fruits of their labor! Quite simply, the volunteering was fun.
