This week surely had some ups and downs, as most weeks do if we are honest. A high for me was visiting with a friend, Elizabeth Grant. I had the chance to stop in Elizabeth's house on Wednesday as I delivered her family some fried chicken (her favorite!) for dinner. Elizabeth has terminal cancer and graciously accepts the help with meals. Her joy and sunshine during the visit perked up my rainy day and gave me a reason to smile. . . wait, wasn't that my role in visiting her? Discover more about Elizabeth at: http://www.deadmanskipping.com/ Some friends planned a benefit for Elizabeth and her family on Saturday. Great fun. Jeff especially liked his first massage. I enjoyed the goodies at the bake sale! Everyone attending loved that Elizabeth was able to attend and enjoy the day.

Jeff and I enjoyed a fall day by going for a walk in Springdale Cemetary. OK, spending an afternoon in a cemetary is not exactly my idea of fun . . . but Springdale is full of fall color this time of year. And the rolling hills made for some good exercise too.
