Friends,

Jeff and I had an awesome weekend together. This week I found myself truly enjoying the days of my engagement! Today we hit Bed, Bath & Beyond to start a wedding registry...along with 15 other couples this weekend. Lots of decisions, but I'm marrying a great man who keeps me grounded and focused. We are far from done, but we got the process started.

These are the engagement vows Jeff and I have had in 2010. Some of our sweetest moments of our engagement have been during our morning workouts at Cardinal fitness. We joke that we are side by side peddling and going nowhere. But...we are enjoying the time together. Will our workout routines be a resolution that extends past January? past the engagement and into marriage? Who knows. Stay tuned. In the meanwhile, we are having a blast!

Friends,

Whew...where did the week go? Well, some of it anyway was spent dealing with technical difficulties with my internet and camera!

Amidst the meetings and commitments this week, I had a relaxing and fun afternoon on Saturday with some friends. We participated in a "clothing swap." Each gal brought 10 or less clothing items that they were willing to part with. Once at the party, we tried on the items we liked and found takers for the fashion. I am especially excited about my "new" denim blazer. Fun idea!

Winter weather has come in full force to Peoria...snow, wind, cold temps. The weather has found me tucked inside as much as possible on these cold winter days. Certainly, no running outdoors for me last week. I have developed the ability to appreciate the beauty of snow from inside the house!

I did go out for a brief while this weekend to snap a few pictures of Jared (Jeff's son). Jared actually enjoys the winter weather and the ability to build with snow. Every King has his castle, and this week you can see Jared's!

Friends,

A bouquet of flowers, a sweet love letter, a boyfriend and a ring all added up for a marriage proposal on Monday, December 28. I came to the table with a "Yes" and a fair share of tears to make it official: I'm engaged! Yipee!

Jeff and I are enjoying the excitement. This week's photo show us off to the public library to start our research for the perfect honeymoon destination. Calling all suggestions from friends and family! We are looking for a week of beautiful scenery, trails to hike and / or bike. We have a preference for quaint, comfortable & charming over touristy or sophisticated. 5 bucks for the winning recommendation!
