Celebrate Fall! This was the theme on Wednesday evening when Jeff introduced me to Christ Orchard. What a fun "field trip". I must confess that we didn't actually pick our own apples...I was too busy snapping pictures around the store. Honey Crisp was my favorite.

Glorious weekend with little to no commitments. Plenty of time to relax, connect with friends, and enjoy the outdoors.

I went to Peoria's Oktoberfest and reminisced about the days at Berne Swiss Days as a youth! On Saturday AM I had the chance to snap a few pictures of my friend Nicki and her son Caden. I'm realizing how much I enjoy photography...good thing I enjoy it, because I still have soo much to learn!

Jeff and I went on a bike ride today with his son Jared. We stopped by Dairy Queen for a treat before heading home. Perfect combo of Sunday afternoon activities...little bit of the great outdoors and a little bit of sweetness.

Yes, I missed a week! I was on a rolling layoff from Caterpillar the first week in September, and I allowed myself to fully disconnect! Now I'm back in the swing of things! After posting this blog, I'm heading out the door to go to a U2 concert in Chicago. Yep...good times! Details to come...

Last week my friends Crystal and Michael had an African Themed Wedding Shower. Crystal is my roommate...at least for the next 3 weeks until her wedding day. See this week's photo to catch a glimpse of the happy couple.
