This gorgeous weekend found me back at home with family. I'm taking advanatage of the long weekend and enjoying the chance to visit my Mom, Dad, and Sister. Mom snapped this picture of Jill, Dad, and me after we returned from a bike ride around the countryside near their house. We all found the scenes on the country roads peaceful and refreshing.

A sunny day and a bike ride with my Dad and Sister...talk about a timeless joy. Enjoy our smiles!

Friends,

Warmer temps brought highlights of the season this weekend. Going out for ice cream (see my friend Catherine with a Banana Split) and playing in the garden.

After a busy day at the garden center, Jeff came over and helped me work in the yard. Without a doubt, the flower planting process had many improvements in 2009 over 2008! Good company being made the afternoon all the more fun.

Happy May! May flowers are in bloom after many days of rain. I had a great time on Saturday visiting Jeff while he was working at the nursery. He helped me pot a few tropical plants to give to my friend Sarah for her Birthday. What a fun place to visit on a gorgeous Saturday in Spring! Great company too.

I also had the chance to hold a new born this week. So peaceful as they sleep in your arms. Kian McCandless, welcome to the world!
